WHAT DOES BEECK STAND FOR?
BEECK MINERAL PAINTS – Painting systems that meet the highest requirements
|
Since 1894, the name BEECK stands for pure mineral lime and silicate based painting systems.
What used to be state-of-the-art more than a hundred years ago in many fields is today more
than up-to-date from an economical, ecological and esthetic point of view. Not only on critical
surfaces on historical monuments where artificial resin bound products must inevitably fail
because of their building physics limitations, mineral paints show their technical superiority.
For painters, designers, builders and architects, BEECK mineral paints have long become a
synonym for the successful application of mineral paints.
Film formation or Silicification?
Contrary to artificial resin or silicone resin paints, BEECK silicate paints do not set through bonding
of an organic binder but through the process of silicification resulting in a permanent, unseparable
unity of coating, microporous plaster, stone or concrete. Proof: The BEECK stripping test! It
does not only allow to distinguish between artificial resin and mineral paints but also permits to
find out whether the paint really is a true silicification-active mineral paint or a fake that simply
uses the term „mineral character“ to fool the consumer as many off-the-shelf „mineral paints“
do.
|
Water-vapor Permeability
The paint’s silicate structure ensures unrestricted water-vapor diffusion between the atmosphere
and the porous substrate. Permeable systems provide perfect building physics conditions
and protect both plaster and masonry from moisture accumulations.
Esthetics
Cloth-mat silicate paints, covering or glazing, provide historical building substances with the right
profile in style and harmony and give modern architecture that classical noble look. Lightfast mineral
pigments supply harmonic colorfulness far from the placative chromaticity of organic synthesis
pigments. After all, the genuine mineral look cannot be imitated by any artificial resin paint,
no matter how sophisticated the formulation.

Ecology
Pure mineral paints and plasters are free of artificial resins, solvents and biocides. No toxic
gases are produced during a fire – another proof for the great chemical stability.
Renovations, too, are unlimitedly possible without stripping and producing
hazardous waste. Considering actual ecological aspects, raw
material basis and product cycle are even more convincing: like
a mineral based natural paint, BEECK PURE CRYSTALLINE FINISH fits perfectly in natural
material cycles of the inanimate nature.
|
By melting quartz sand with potash and adding water the so-called
potash waterglass is produced. It is the most important constituent of BEECK
FIXATIVE and also used as a binder in BEECK PURE CRYSTALLINE FINISH. After
application to microporous plasters, natural stones and concrete, the chemical reaction of silicification
is initiated. In this process, potash waterglass reacts with the own pigments and fillers
and at the same time with the pore system of the surface it is applied to.
The result: an inseparable, microporous and thus extremely water-vapor permeable unity
between BEECK PURE CRYSTALLINE FINISH and the mineral building material surface.
Purely inorganic, extremely water-vapor permeable and UV resistant.

Innovation
BEECK mineral paints are perfect for use not only on traditional building materials, but also on
aerated concrete, light-weight building elements and heat insulation systems. A wide range of
products, including primers and auxiliary products provides system solutions out of one
hand.
